Getting into vacation mode.

Looking like a cute Cloggy.

Really mean attack dog that I gave some water.

Helena getting ready.

Packing the beach blanket.

The place we stayed, our pool.

Maspalomas Beach in Playa Del Ingles.

Thousands of German, Dutch and British tourist.

Our room with a private balcony and ocean view.

Relaxing lunch.

The prettiest girl in Playa Del Ingles.

Water...water...Lunch.

The prettiest blue eyes.

Some interested native scenery.

Our Balcony.

Happy Cloggy.

Night at the beach.

One of the hundreds of scales everywhere.

The Boardwalk.

A fun shopping place and amusement park.

A typical Cloggy foot / shoe.

Helena shopping.

A very friendly girl that wanted to be in the picture.

Fine Dinning.

Relaxing at dinner, lots of sangria.

El Coche o el carro.

The road we took on the way to Roque Nuble.

We traveled towards the center of the island and stopped for a minute.

You can see the typical roads that travel throughout the valleys.

Prepared for the first hike of the vacation.

A typical road that weaved in and around the mountains.

A bunch of people preparing for a camel ride.

A fairly large town in the middle of nowhere.

The lady who worked across the street also worked the gas pump.

Our first hike of the week to Roque Nuble.

Picture of Rock of Nuble.

Pine trees and a river.  It's said that Grand Canary Island is a
microcosm of of 5 continents.

The path was actually the easiest of the week, approximately
a 450 meter difference in height.

Captured in the moment.

A little tired after 2 hours of climbing.

A town that was very distant in the valley.

As we approached the final leg of the hike.

This picture provides perspective as to the size of the rock.

We finally made it to a ledge along the rock.

Behind me is a drop of over 1,000 feet.

Climbing to the top.  Don't let go!

Typical road, although many did NOT have guard rails.

Some horses we passed on a cross road.

Layered roads travel endlessly up the mountains.

We visited a remote town that built homes in the mountain.

Smile!
