Chambord

We rented a car and headed north of Paris in the land of Château's. 

As we approached Chambord, I was taken aback with a surreal feeling.

A series of moats and water ways surround the château.  

A double spiral star case is located in the center.

Additional spiral stairs are on each corner.

The Chateaus were typically summer homes.
