The Bahamas

The Caribbean Islands

I never could understand why anyone would want to go skiing instead of hanging out on a beach. I try and get to somewhere 'hot' at least once per/ year. There's something revitalizing about the tropical air. I booked a trip to one of those all inclusive resorts in November 97' with 3 days notice. I tried for Club Med which was completely booked, then Hedonism, and ended up at Breezes. It was a nice place, except for the fact that I was practically the only single person. The place reminded me of a cruise on land. I made the best of it, working with Julie the cruise director and checking the activities board: swimming, tennis with the pro from Australia, jet skiing, sailing, scuba diving and finally I won a bathing suit contest (tearing my hamstring in the process). My leg is still healing and my tan is gone. My new goal is to run in the chase corporate challenge race in May, quite a challenge.

Breezes Resort

Taking out the Jet Ski for a spin. The locals rented me a 750cc Wave Runner. Pure adrenaline at 50 mph.

Getting psyched for the dive. Gina from NY on the left.

Andrew under water hunting for sharks, notice the cool diving knife on left ankle.

Being a professional lifeguard in my 20's, diving was a natural progression.

My new friends Tina & Gina, I still owe them dinner in NYC.
